R.I.C technique is an alternative to D.C method for shallow treatment up to 5m deep.
RIC technique is usually used in combination with dynamic soil densification and vibro compaction techniques in order to improve the surface soil.
RIC technique generates limited vibrations comparing to dynamic soil densification technique and thus can be used close to existing structures.
